Wall Repair in Aurora, NY
Leon and Linda from Aurora, NY called Woodford Bros., Inc. for help to fix their leaning walls in the basement. The spoke with one of the girls in the customer care center and scheduled an appointment to meet with Tim Tramontana a Design Specialist on our Sales Team. Tim meant with Lean and Linda and provide them with a proposal to straighten the leaning walls in their finished basement.
A few weeks later, James Parker a Foreman at Woodford Bros., Inc. and his crew went to Aurora, NY and began to repair the walls. They used a product called “CarbonArmor” and “ArmorLock” anchors to reinforce the walls back.
CarbonArmor is a carbon fiber-reinforcement that is 10 times stronger than steel and designed specifically for repairing bowing, leaning and cracking basement walls. Its fabric-like texture is flexible, which helps to install the CarbonArmor Strips tightly to the foundation. Next, a two-part epoxy is applied to the strips, this adhesive will then penetrate the surface of the concrete for a strong hold…rather than just simply sitting on the concrete surface. CarbonArmor can be installed with the ArmorLock system. ArmorLock is a patented product from SupportWorks that Woodford Bros., Inc. has to specially order for the project. ArmorLock straps overlap the CarbonArmor strips at the top of the walls to add extra tension to reinforce the walls.
Once James and his crew completed the installation, Leon and Linda were extremely happy with the results. Leon posted a review to Woodford Bros., Inc. Facebook Page that said, “Great job installing Carbon Armour wall supports. Thanks to James Parker III and Tony Bowman for the professional job.”
Foundation Repairs in King Ferry, NY
Terry from King Ferry, NY called Woodford Bros., Inc. when he noticed his foundation was buckling and cracking.
Woodford Bros., Inc. reinforced the foundation walls with CarbonArmor strips and ArmorLock braces to keep the foundation in place and ensure that the walls don’t continue to buckle. Also, in the low corner of the basement water would puddle up and Terry had no waterproofing system. So, Woodford Bros., Inc. installed a sump pump that connects to the WaterGuard System that was dug around the interior perimeter of the foundation wall to push water into the sump pump and out of the foundation.
Jamie and Eric's home in Union Springs, NY had a sagging floor problem. They had only been living in the home for a short time before they noticed the way the floors bowed in the middle. The door leading into their kitchen couldn't even close anymore. A family friend with a construction background came over to take a look. He told them that the problem was too far down the road for a simple fix and they should call Woodford Brothers. Jamie had seen Woodford Brothers TV commercials, but her construction friend telling her to call was the deal-breaker. Jamie called the foundation repair experts at Woodford two days later.
Our crews installed our sagging floor fix called smart jacks. Put right into the concrete our smart jacks are not going anywhere. Built to last the life of the home, Smart jacks will stop this floor from sagging for years to come. Now Jamie doesn't have to worry about her floors sagging.

Dan has been living in his Cato, NY home for 22 years, and has become increasingly concerned with the high radon levels in his basement. Since he spends much of his time in the office in his finished basement, Dan has become worried about the health concerns that could arise due to his radon exposure. Deciding he wanted to attempt to resolve the issue, Dan contacted Woodford Bros. for a free inspection and estimate for our radon mitigation system.
Each radon mitigation system design varies depending on the structure of the home, but in most cases, a hole is drilled into the slab, crawl space, or surrounding earth to create a suction point, and then the radon gas is vented through a PVC pipe that is connected to the hole. Ultimately, the gas is then vented out and away from the home, and to resist any further gas entry, cracks, and seals that could serve as entry points are closed.
If you, like Dan, believe that radon gas is intruding into your home, it's time to take action against it. Contact Woodford Bros. for your free inspection and estimate today!
