Mark's waterfront home in Cayuga, NY was built on a crawlspace type foundation. When the lake level rises or during heavy rains the crawlspace becomes very damp. The Moisture leads to mold growth, bad smells and concerns for health of the wood structural components. Having an environment like that under your floors also draws concern for the quality of air for breathing in the living space above. after a quick internet search for crawlspace repair, Mark found Woodford Brothers and scheduled his free estimate. Our Design Specialist, Andy climbed into the crawlspace and performed a thorough inspection to determine the best course of action for Mark. It was agreed that in order to stop moisture intrusion there needed to be a sump installed and the space needed to be sealed off completely from all outside air. A Sanidry Sedona air system was added to control the humidity and keep the air clean. Insulation was also included to keep the floors from feeling cold in the winter time. A complete proposal along with a thorough explanation of the products and science behind crawlspaces was provided to Mark on the spot. An installation date was scheduled and our crew led by Foreman, Joe. They made quick and clean work of the installation. Now Mark has total peace of mind that his crawlspace is clean, dry and warm.
