Steven and Nancy have a beautiful summer home in Wolcott, NY. They loved it so much that they wanted to make it a Spring, Summer and Fall home. That was not possible for them unless they addressed the problems that the home's crawlspace created. The first problem is that the crawlspace was insulated making the home very cold in the off seasons. The drainage and water piping were exposed in this space as well which could create problems. Having a vented dirt crawlspace also creates a damp environment that can facilitate mold growth (health problems) and wood rot (foundation problems). Luckily, Steven found out about Woodford Brothers after a quick Google search. He gave us a call and booked his free estimate with one of our expert Design Specialists. Our crew neatly and professionally installed insulation, encapsulation and support posts. Despite the limited head room, the crew kept a positive attitude and kept Steven and Nancy informed throughout the process. Their crawlspace is clean and dry and their floors are stable. Now Steven and Nancy will get the most possible use out of their Wolcott, NY home.
The concrete slab walkway on the side of John and Mary's Wolcott, NY home was settling. It caused water to pool up in the low spots. That problem is concerning because the walkway is right against the house. Having water pooling like that can funnel water to the foundation and could cause damage to the foundation overtime. John and Mary wanted to prevent future damage to their home but did not want to incur the cost of replacing the slabs completely. Luckily they found out about Woodford Brothers and the process of PolyLevel after a quick Google search. When they called the office they were directed to the Customer Care Department. After a few questions about the problems they were seeing our Customer Care Representative scheduled a free estimate with one of our expert Design Specialists. After inspection the Design Specialist provided a proposal on the spot. The day of installation our expert crew made quick work of lifting the concrete slabs back up and sloped them away from the house. Now John and Mary have maintained their home's value and restored their peace of mind without having to completely replace the concrete walkway.
This waterfront camp in Wolcott, NY was a haven for the home owners. Everyone in their family spends as much time as possible in the beautiful lake home to enjoy the water sports, fishing and sun. When they started to notice the slope in the floors went from bad to worse they knew this was an issue they couldn't ignore. When the decorations on a shelf in the living room shook every time some one walked by it was a reminder that they should take care of it. A neighboring camp had a similar issue a couple years ago and after their experience with Woodford Brothers they were more than happy to recommend us. Our expert Design Specialist performed a full inspection and provided some options on the spot. There were some posts that were starting to settle into the ground and some that were started to lean.

The concrete slab walkway into this Williamson, NY home has continued to settle deeper and deeper into the ground each year. The more it settles, the more water pools up in that area. This compounds the problem because water seeps through the concrete and gets under the slab which weakens the soil that it rests on. Replacing the entire concrete slab is costly and time-consuming. In order to fix this problem, and avoid a dangerous trip hazard, we utilize our 3 part concrete protection system. First, we used a specially engineered foam to inject below the slab. PolyLevel starts out as a liquid and fills every void, it then lifts the slab as it expands all while compacting the soil below. We then fill all cracks and control joints with NexusPro to stop more water intrusion below the slab. The final step is to seal the top of the concrete with SealantPro to stop water from penetrating the slab.

The finished basement in this Williamson, NY home started to show signs of dampness in the carpet of one area. Soon, the drywall and carpet were wet every time it rained. That's when this homeowner knew it was time to take action. The space is used for storage and living space so having water on organic materials such as drywall and carpet can create real problems. Mold can form on these materials which are hazardous to health. Luckily, we can fix the problem without tearing out the entire finished wall. Since typically only the bottom 2'-3' of the wall is affected, we can simply cut out the bottom part of the wall, install a proper waterproofing system, and replace the bottom part of the wall with non-organic materials that are mold resistant and can never be affected by water.
If you have a wet basement, don't hesitate to book your free estimate. On the day of your inspection, you will receive a detailed proposal and know exactly what's wrong, exactly how we will fix it, and exactly what it will cost.
The pole barn on this Williamson, NY property is a home mechanic's sanctuary. Setup to lift and repair motors of any size. The homeowner noticed cracks in the floor started to form after years of owning the home. He thought nothing of it at first, but the cracks started to get worse as the soil below the slab was eroding causing the floor to sag. With the looming possibility of the cracks continuing to get worse and the concrete settling further, it was time to call for help. Replacing the entire slab would be too time-consuming and expensive. Luckily we have a solution for this exact scenario. Our PolyLevel system is engineered to flow like liquid when injected below the concrete. As it expands into a foam it fills all voids and compacts the soil below. Within 15 minutes it is completely cured and could be driven on. We also fill all cracks with a specially formulated concrete caulk called NexusPro and seal the surface with SealantPro to ensure the concrete will last for many more years to come.
Karen's pool deck in Lyons, NY has been in perfect shape for about 30 years. Last year, she started to notice that some of the concrete slabs had stared to crack and some have even begun to sink into the ground. Around that time there was a perimeter fence installed. It seemed that after the company removed large amounts of dirt it set the concrete problems in motion. After hearing about Woodford Brothers from a friend she found us online and booked her free estimate. The day of the estimate our Design Specialist took careful measurements to determine the size of the slabs, the lengths of each crack and exactly how much the slab has settled. Luckily, concrete slabs in this state to not need to be replaced and there is no need to pour new concrete over top, which does not solve the problem. PolyLevel is a great way to restore concrete without expensive and messy replacement. Also, there's no need for unsightly differences in color between new and old slabs.

Bart has been in his Lyons, NY home since 1980. Over the years he noticed cracks forming in his concrete driveway. As more time passed one corner of the driveway close to the house was starting to settle and tip toward the foundation. This caused rain water to funnel right toward the home's foundation. Bart decided to take care of this problem before it created new ones. He called Woodford Brothers to schedule his free estimate. Our design Specialist, Joe took careful measurements of the area to determine exactly what it would cost to inject PolyLevel foam below the slab to lift it back up and seal up the cracks for good. Joe provided Bart with a same day proposal. When Bart saw that the price was cheaper, cleaner and less time consuming to lift instead of replace, Joe scheduled an installation date with one of our crews led by Foreman James. James and his crew made quick work of restoring the concrete slab back to it's original position. Now Bart has peace of mind that his slab is stable and bigger problems caused by the situation are no longer impending.
A home owner in Red Creek, NY began to notice cracks in the foundation wall of her 1983 built home. Over the course of the 10 years after they became noticeable, the cracks seem to get larger and more began to form. The blocks appeared wet, especially after a heavy rain or snow melt. Overall the basement felt damp and she became concerned not only for the health of her foundation, but also herself because of the negative affects of mold. Our design specialist paid a visit to the home to inspect the cause of the issues. He found that water builds up against the foundation and seeps into the hollow cores of the block. As the water pools up against the foundation it puts a tremendous amount of pressure, called hydrostatic pressure, against the foundation. This leads to cracks in the wall and can continue to get worse if not addressed. Our design specialist provided a same day proposal to along with a detailed presentation to explain each solution to address any questions or concers. Woodford Brothers can address everyone of these problems to restore peace of mind, improve the quality of life and maintain property value. To address the hydrostatic pressure, we install CarbonArmor strips that adhere to the wall and become 10x stronger than steel once cured. Our Waterguard system will keep the walls drained and control the water in conjunction with a sump system. Our amazing Sanidry Sedona Air system will not only dehumidify the air, it also filters it. This ends all concerns about mold and completely eliminates the damp smell and feeling so often associated with basement space. You can rest assured that once we fix your basement problems, you will never have to again because we back up our work with warranties and we live by the motto "We do it right or we make it right".
A beautiful Victorian era home had some unlevel floors. Upon inspection, one of the main beams had begun to sag at some point. The flooring system was help up by some original log posts and some additional lally posts had been installed to carry some of the weight. Over time the lally posts had begun to rust and bend under the weight of the home. Woodford Brothers can replace any beams and posts using our SmartJack system. They are galvanized steel and are rated for over 50,000 pounds per jack. They are installed using an engineered fill so that they will never settle. They are also adjustable, so once they are installed they can be used to lift the floors back up. The SmartJacks come with a warranty so you can rest assured you will never need to worry about sagging floors again.
A CMU block foundation in Red Creek, NY had a horizontal crack that runs across the entirety of one wall. This is a tell tale sign the the wall is succumbing to hydrostatic pressure. Water building up on the outside of the wall essentially turns it into a reverse swimming pool. That is a tremendous amount of weight and pressure for a block wall. The horizontal crack is a classic sign that the wall is having difficulty holding the weight. What can be done? One great option is the CarbonArmor wall reinforcement system. Our Design Specialists will perform a free inspection and provide a same day proposal for exactly how many straps will be needed for a particular wall. These amazing straps are made of carbon fiber and when combined with a specially engineered epoxy become 10X stronger than steel. Our expert installers will first grind the wall in the location the straps are to be installed in order to expose the original block and clean any debris. The epoxy is applied and penetrates deep into the concrete block for a bond that will last for as long as the wall stands. The strips are applied and once cured the wall is guaranteed not to move any further so you can have peace of mind that your foundation is secure.

For the past four years, Christopher has called Palmyra, NY, home. However, he recently discovered a persistent problem that seriously impacted his quality of life. Water was infiltrating his finished basement, rendering the space unusable. Frustrated with this ongoing issue, Christopher decided to reach out to Woodford Bros. for a free estimate.
After an initial inspection, our team proposed the installation of our WaterGuard system and the SuperSump system as a solution to Christopher's wet basement. The SuperSump Pump is designed to keep basements dry and healthy, even during heavy rain periods, providing complete protection. In tandem, the WaterGuard system, an award-winning floor drain, is strategically placed on top of a bed of drainage stone along the foundation's footing. With both of these systems in place, Christopher can now enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing he can use his basement without the constant concern of water infiltration.
Jason recently moved into his home in Palmyra, NY, and became concerned about elevated radon levels. To address his concerns and ensure the safety of his home and health, he reached out to Woodford Bros. for a free estimate on radon mitigation.
Radon mitigation systems can vary depending on the specific home and the chosen system. However, in most cases, a process called the "stack effect" is employed to redirect harmful air from beneath the house into the living space. Radon gas is channeled through a PVC pipe, which can be installed either inside or outside the home. A fan connected to the PVC pipe vents the radon gas out of the living space while also sealing any potential entry points.
This system offers homeowners peace of mind by effectively maintaining radon levels and minimizing any health risks. Now, Jason can rest assured that his home and health are safe.
