When our Design Specialist was in the crawlspace to perform the free inspection, he found a very high humidity environment. This was conducive to mold and rot in the floor joists and beams. The basement in this 1800's home was getting wet every time it rained or when the snow melted. The home owners have lived in this 1800's home for 40 years. A couple of years ago, they noticed that it was getting worse. After searching for wet basement repair on the internet, they found Woodford Brothers. Our Customer Care department happily assisted in scheduling a free estimate with our Design Specialist. After assessing the basement and providing different options for repair, it was decided that a brand new Super Sump Plus would be installed in the basement. This is our standard sump that comes with a cast iron Zoeller pump with a special twin liner that leaves space in just in case a backup pump should be added later. The top of the sump is air tight and sits flush with the floor. A special drain is included to allow water from pipe leaks or other water on the floor to make it's way into the sump. The Super Sump Plus also comes standard with a water alarm to alert if the water level rises beyond the pump operating level in the event of a power outage. Our installation crew made quick work of the project so that water in this basement is controlled.
