Dan has been living in his Cato, NY home for 22 years, and has become increasingly concerned with the high radon levels in his basement.  Since he spends much of his time in the office in his finished basement, Dan has become worried about the health concerns that could arise due to his radon exposure.  Deciding he wanted to attempt to resolve the issue, Dan contacted Woodford Bros. for a free inspection and estimate for our radon mitigation system.  

 

Each radon mitigation system design varies depending on the structure of the home, but in most cases, a hole is drilled into the slab, crawl space, or surrounding earth to create a suction point, and then the radon gas is vented through a PVC pipe that is connected to the hole.  Ultimately, the gas is then vented out and away from the home, and to resist any further gas entry, cracks, and seals that could serve as entry points are closed.
